Amity is committed to research, development, implementation, and dissemination of information regarding community building.Remembrance, Resolution, Reconciliation, Restoration, RenewalAbout the Position:As Monitor, you will be directing and safely supervising students 24 hours a day.Salary Range: $16-$20/hrWhat You Will Do:

• Supervise students during daytime and evening hours and notify staff of any symptoms or signs of substance abuse of students and/or drug overdoses.
• Supervise students' daily activities and assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of other staff.
• Document and monitor regular bed checks as required. Communicate with other monitors regarding daily activities or disturbances.
• Serve as an advisor and positive role model for students. Prevent and intervene in student altercations and incidents.
• Conduct and practice emergency evacuation procedures.
• Assist in maintaining facility grounds and keeping equipment in proper working condition.
• Responsible for Critical Incidents and incident reporting when they occur during scheduled shifts. Upload clinical supportive documentation (i.e., motivation logs, intentions forms, etc.).
• Participate in community activities as they relate to the position and attend additional training as needed.
• Administer First Aid and CPR during emergencies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.What You Will Bring:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of ethnic and cultural differences within criminal justice populations.
  • Understanding of causes, symptoms, and effects of incarceration; appreciation for the behavioral, psychological, physical, and social effects of incarceration.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
