Job Description:
A company is looking for a Forensic Underwriter to perform
in-depth reviews of closed mortgage loans for compliance and fraud
detection.
Key Responsibilities:
Re-underwrite closed loan files to ensure compliance with agency or
lender guidelines
Analyze compliance documentation and closing documents for
adherence to federal and state laws
Prepare formal written responses to agencies/investors regarding
audit findings and deficiencies
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience in both manual and
automated environments
Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass
Understanding of transaction components that indicate potential
fraud
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
