defended every mode of workers' compensation claims ranging from
basic credibility cases to carpal tunnel or back strain cases to
amputations, death, and alleged permanent total/catastrophic
cases.Job Description/DutiesWe're looking for a committed and
seasoned Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our dynamic
legal team in California. The right candidate will bring 1 - 15
years of experience in Workers' Compensation Defense, possessing a
deep understanding of California's laws and regulations in this
field. You'll play a key role in representing employers, insurance
carriers, and third-party administrators across all facets of
workers' compensation defense.Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all stages of workers' compensation
litigation, including initial investigations, depositions,
hearings, trials, and appeals.
- Provide legal advice and strategic defense plans to clients,
ensuring the best possible outcomes in workers' compensation
cases.
- Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions,
briefs, and other legal documents.
- Analyze and interpret complex medical and legal documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges,
and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate settlements and effectively advocate for clients'
interests.
- Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and
regulations and apply this knowledge to case strategy.
- Participate in continuing legal education and professional
development activities to maintain and enhance legal
expertise.Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the California State
Bar.
- 1-15 years of experience in Workers' Compensation Defense.
- Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and
regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication
skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload with exceptional organizational
skills.
- Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management
software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Experience representing a variety of clients, including large
corporations and small businesses.
- Trial experience in workers' compensation cases.
- Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.What We
